So MSNBC had a post-debate panel show as usual and Chris Matthews was one of the five panelists.
The discussion veered to how if Bernie became the nominee it would be the first time that a socialist had been the Democratic nominee. Matthews then starts out by saying he would give his views about socialism in private but then launches into a deranged rant about how his views were formed back in the 50s and maybe somebody should ask Bernie Sanders about Fidel Castro and how if the Cold War had turned out differently people would have been executed in Central Park and he would have been one of them.
The looks on the faces of Chris Hayes and Joy Reid was … astonishment.
