Chris Matthews opened tonight’s “Hardball” by announcing his retirement after conversations with MSNBC. He said that tonight will be his last show.
Matthews said it was time to make way for a “younger generation.”
I would guess that some of his recent comments equating democratic socialism with despotic regimes was a bridge too far.
