My Two Cents on This Republican Freak Show.

Odds and end her really, but this is what I have noticed about what many are calling a Republican Shit Show.

1.  The media is doing its usually bad job of reporting.  So many lies are spewing out of this Republican freak show that reporters just do not bother to fact check.  Imagine being next to a large pipeline that transports sewage, and it gives way and bursts right in front of you.  One of my favorite examples was Chris Matthews letting Rudy Giuliani go on a rant against Hillary Clinton.

2.  Which brings me to the next point.  The media has decided to have a repeat of the 2012 Election.  Ratings, rating, and more ratings.  It  is one reason that we are drowning in a cesspool of lies from Republicans.  If the media called out Trump and Republicans for their lies, maybe the “persuadable” voters might have to make that awful decision to support Hillary Clinton.  If the election is a done deal, what the hell are Chris Matthews and the rest to do for the next few months?  It has to be a close election.

3.  You know that media coverage is truly awful when Republican hack Steve Schmidt has to say the obvious about the Trump supporter who has called for the execution of Hillary Clinton over her private email server.  “He is nuts.” Brian Williams did not say it.  The so called progressive Rachel Maddow did not say it.  Only after Schmidt said it did Eugene Robinson say, “Yeah, he is nuts.”

4.  Everyone rages about CNN being in the tank, but MSNBC is doing what it can to match them in Trump sycophancy.  Hugh Hewitt of “Cruz WILL Win!” fame is doing everything he can to help Trump.  Trump NEVER makes a bad move according to Hewitt.

5.  Finally, the man who helped create the political disaster known as Trump — Roger Ailes —  is forced out today from Fox.  Anyone think that was a coincidence?  Yeah, me neither.  Nothing like have burying this bad news on a night when everyone is breathlessly awaiting the speech from the grifter.

6.  Ever notice how one speech is supposed to always turn things around for a Republican politician?  A year of hate speech from Donald Trump is supposed to be forgotten when he gives one speech.  It reminds me of the great centrist David Broder saying that George W. Bush was going to show his leadership at any moment.
